St Gall 's Retreat, Cresta Avers, in the Canton of Graubunden, is a hermitage, guest house, retreat centre and the home of Monsignor Bruno Pedrini and Dom Alistair Bate OSBA (csr), near Cresta Avers in the Canton of Graubünden. Monsignor Bruno Clementino Monsignor Bruno is a bishop of the Holy Celtic Church and an Oblate of the Holy Cross Benedictines of Adoration. He is Swiss and speaks both Italian and German fluently as well as some French, English and Norwegian. He celebrates a weekly Mass in Italian in our chapel. +Bruno's passion is his model railway, an ongoing piece of work, which attracts admiration and visitors from far and wide. Dom Alistair is Primus of the Holy Celtic Church International (with the Mar Thoma LCC), as well as founder of the Holy Cross Benedictines of Adoration, a Liberal Catholic congregation inspired by monastic spirituality.He is Anglo-Irish and has lived in the USA, England, and Scotland where he attained a Master of Arts degree in Divinity from the University of Edinburgh and where he had a busy public ministry for several years. He is a teacher of Celtic Spirituality as well as cook for many of the guests and retreatants who visit St Gall's.
